Early Childhood Education Projects (ITE)
These are some samples of the different projects and works I have accomplished and participated in when studying Early Childhood Education in ITE College Central.
Acted as King Triton in adapted story of "The Little Mermaid" (For A Module Practical Assignment)
For an art module called "The Aesthetics Curriculum", we had a practical assignment with a task to create a story and act it out, as part of the importance of drama in preschools and for my group's story, we chose the Disney story of "Little Mermaid" and our adapted story title is The Lost King". In the adapted story, I became King Triton and made the costume I am wearing in the picture myself (in yellow with crown). More information in the picture slides gallery below:

Sensorial Playkit Book on Fruits (For A Module Assignment)
For a module called "Learning Environments", for the group assignment - we created a sensorial and interactive book titled "Mr. Caterpillar Likes Fruits" to teach our chosen age-group of children aged 3 - 4 years old all about Fruits. The book contains colourful and appealing elements that can be taken out and placed back with the help of velcro, which provides an interactive experience for children aged 3 - 4 years old to learn about Fruits as children in this age generally have a short attention span.

Lesson Implementation with Portable Toilet Bowl Playkit on theme of "Saving Water" (For Internship Practical Assessment)
For one of my practical assessments during my 6-months internship at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Eunos, I created a portable toilet bowl with wheels for my lesson implementation with my K1 (5 years old) class using mainly recyclable materials. It was inspired from an invention of future toilet bowls in Singapore that has a sink. This type of toilet bowl was created with the purpose of saving water. When you wash your hands, the water that falls into the compartment below the sink would be used to flush the toilet bowl. This playkit was designed for my K1 children. Water can be poured in the sink and it flows into the toilet bowl after as you can see in the video demonstration below:
Roleplay of a Disney Wonderland (Created a Disney Castle) [For A Module Practical Assignment]
For an art module called "The Aesthetics Curriculum", we had a practical assignment where we were tasked to create an engaging and fun Dramatic Corner for children and my group embarked on the theme of "Disney". In our roleplay, I became the Madhatter from "Alice in Wonderland" while some of my teammates became Tinman from "Wizard of Oz" and Little Red Riding Hood. It was a fun experience as we presented our creation while roleplaying as our individual characters.
The order of characters is as follows from the left: Red Riding Hood, Alice from Wonderland, Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, Madhatter from Wonderland and lastly, Tinman from Wizard of Oz.

Song & Dance Implementation (Event Programme) on theme of "Healthy Eating Habits" [For A Module Practical Assignment]
For an event planning module called "Planning & Organizing Children’s Event & Functions", my group and I were tasked to plan a one-hour event teaching children on the theme of "Healthy Eating Habits". We were assigned to MyFirstSkool Preschool @ Toa Payoh and in this particular photo, we were conducting a song and dance activity using "The Badanamu Fruit Song" for children to sing and dance to simple steps as a warm-up to tune-in children to the theme of the programme. It was a fun and truly fruitful experience.
Lesson Implementation using Puppet Theatre (Puppet Show) on theme of "Personal Hygiene" [For Internship Practical Assessment]
For another practical assessment during my 6-months internship at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Eunos, I created a Puppet Theatre (for Puppet Show) for my lesson implementation with my Nursery (4 years old) class based on the storybook "I Don't Want To Wash My Hands" by Tony Ross as the theme for the school's semester was on Personal Hygiene. I used recycled materials such as cardboard to make the Puppet Theatre and hand-made puppets. The task of the assessment is to dramatise and present a relevant story to children in an engaging fashion.

Began the Puppet Show with introduction of storybook.
Mystery boxes will contain the 4 ways on keeping clean picture cards in them and children are to take turns in pairs to pick one at a time without looking and then act out the picked picture card to their peer for them to guess the way of keeping clean.
