My name is Sidi Rashid Bin Ismail. I am 23 years old this year. I graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2023. In 2020, I graduated with a Higher National ITE Certificate in Early Childhood Education from ITE College Central and have now experienced two rounds of 6-months internship attachments and 2 practicum experiences. Today, many teachers would agree that being a teacher is definitely not an easy job, even more so as a male teacher. However, why do I still want to be a preschool teacher you may ask? Well, I believe that the Early Childhood industry would be one of the best ways to contribute back to society. I also found that being a preschool teacher gives me the opportunity to shape the world into a better place through our young minds who would be the future of our world, however little it may be at the start. Hence, starting with early childhood would be most ideal!

Apart from working as a Preschool Teacher in the Early Childhood industry, I am also an experienced Part-time Retail Associate and Service Crew with a demonstrated history of working in the Retail, F&B and Hospitality industry such as Uniqlo, CÉ LA VI, FatBurger, Grand Hyatt, Shangri-La and Singapore Edition. Regarding my skills, I have acquired mastery in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft 365 applications such as Clipchamp Video Editor, and the graphic design tool Canva. Excelling in these useful software has tremendously made my school and work life easier.

Through my years studying Early Childhood Education, I have managed to develop strong operations professionally working with children from diverse age groups ranging from 3 years old to 6 years old. During my 6-months internship in PCF Sparkletots Preschool, I was given the opportunity to take the Pre-Nursery and Nursery children and during my 6-months internship in My First Skool Preschool, I was given the opportunity to take the Kindergarten 2 children. These internship experiences had never been easy but with the help and guidance of my knowledgeable and kind mentors and colleagues, I have managed to complete them smoothly!
